Children do not automatically develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that lead to regular and enjoyable participation in physical activity. They must be taught. The responsibility for this instruction is vested primarily in physical education programs at our school. Participation in a comprehensive, developmentally-appropriate physical education program results in the knowledge and skills for healthy living while enhancing physical, mental, and social growth. Students will learn skills that allow them to participate and enjoy physical activity and become physically active adults in the future.
